Spinach Curry / கீரை

Keerai/Spinach curry is a healthy side to enjoy with rice for lunch!


Spinach Curry/Keerai

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bunch Spinach (கீரை)
  • ½ Medium Sized Onion (வெங்காயம்)
  • 1 Garlic Cloves (பூண்டு)
  • 1 Green Chili Pepper (மிளகாய்) Remove seeds to reduce spice
  • ¼ cup Water (தண்ணீர்)
  • 1 tsp Coconut Milk (தேங்காய்ப்பால்)
  • ¼ tsp Salt (உப்பு)
  • Lemon Juice (எலுமிச்சை சாறு)

Instructions
 

  • Cut the spinach.
  • Dice the onions, green chili pepper, and garlic cloves.
  • Put the spinach, onions, green chili pepper, garlic cloves, and salt in a pot.
  • Add water to the pot and cook.
  • After about 10 minutes, add coconut milk and let cook for about a minute.
  • Take the pot off the stove. Squeeze some lemon juice and mix directly before serving.
